Gift and Exchange: Recognizing Giving and Receiving as Foundational to the Human Experience
From the tangible to intangible, the conventional to unconventional and the practical to impractical, giving gifts and exchanging offerings are practices that extend cross-culturally, are timeless and infinite, and bring us together as individuals and collectively. Be it motivated by gratitude, appreciation, remorse, retribution, celebration, remembrance or great sorrow, we give to punctuate life and share together what it means to be human.
