Call for Case Studies - Deadlines for submissions extended

The World Leisure Centre of Excellence in Sustainability and Innovation at Vancouver Island University is inviting case study proposals to be included in the fifth annual volume of Innovative Leisure Practices.

The intent of this volume is to showcase the innovative applied work of students – Undergraduate, Graduate, Ph.D., and Post Doc – providing a forum for the exchange of innovative practices in leisure. Innovative practices are defined as any unique, modern or promising approaches, strategies or techniques that have been used to address current issues, opportunities or trends in leisure. These can be practices conducted at a societal, community, or organizational level in either the field of practice or in leisure research.

The WLCE team decided to extend the deadlines for submitting the Expressions of Interest and full case studies. Therefore, the publication of the fifth volume of the Innovative Leisure Practices will be in Fall 2021. See the updated deadlines below:

Timeframe

  • Expression of Interest submission by author (s): January 8, 2021
  • Submission of full case studies by author(s): May 15, 2021
  • Feedback on full contributions: June 15, 2021
  • Deadline for revisions and final contributions: August 13, 2021
