Innovation Infusion: Lee Herrin



The World Leisure Centre of Excellence at VIU (WLCE at VIU) invites you to our next Innovation Infusion Speakers Series presented by Mr. Lee Herrin, on the topic of Enterprising Non-profits: Revving up Revenues for Not-for-Profits. The presentation will start at Thursday April 14th, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in Building 300-Room 401 (Royal Arbutus Room).

Mr. Lee Herrin has worked in the public, private and non-profit sectors throughout his 15 years’ career. He also has more than 15 years’ experience serving on boards of community organizations. Mr. Herrin joined Royal Roads in the fall of 2012. He is engaged in the Associate Faculty of Business facilitating the Bachelor of Commerce, Foundational Business Skills course.

The Fernwood NRG operates two licensed daycares, manages 10 three-bedroom affordable housing units, publishes the Village Vibe community newspaper, holds two annual neighbourhood festivals, and runs the Cornerstone Café. Come hear the Fernwood story and how their social enterprise has transformed their organization and its financial sustainability. With Fernwood’s successful experience, Mr. Lee Herrin will demonstrate how your not-for-profit can benefit from becoming more entrepreneurial.
