Abstract
In the vision of Sustainable Leisure Management, many related issues and ideas arise, however, one issue in particular that is often neglected or less attended to is that of gender equality in leisure, especially women as a main focus.
In the following video, we will attempt to demonstrate the importance of dealing with this issue and will demonstrate examples of women in their communities that are exemplars to tackling this problem of gender inequality in the leisure context.
Gender inequality is an important issue around the world. There is no country that can yet say that they have achieved gender equality. Unfortunately, there are still limitations for women when it comes to education access and professional opportunities. There are still countries where girls are stigmatized since their birth. During their lives they are sexualized and have less opportunities in their careers because they might become mothers.
Within the feminism context, there are many initiatives in order to fight against this relevant issue that is affecting our entire society. However, it does not matter if we are feminists or not, men or women, we all should have the same opportunities and be involved in this equal balance between genders in order to achieve progress and sustainable development.
