Bio

Tanya Reiber has been a smiling, familiar face on campus for many years, starting her career at VIU's Cowichan Campus in 1999 before joining Trades and Applied Technology on the Nanaimo campus. She joined the Faculty of Management in 2021 and was happy to jump in and support some of the exciting activities that our students get involved in, such as the BC MBA Games hosted on the Nanaimo campus at VIU in the Fall of 2025. 

Professional Work

Tanya is the Membership Secretary for CUPE Local 1858 Executive and volunteer for Ladysmith Family & Friends (LaFF).

Outside of Work

Her passions away from work are anything to do with being around her family and dog, overnight backpacking in the mountains, chasing waterfalls, mountain biking, snowshoeing, and kayaking.

Fun Fact 

Tanya feels most alive when she's hanging with her family or immersed in nature.
