BC Recreation and Parks Association is promoting its 2020 Symposium, to be held in Victoria, BC, from April 29 to May 1. 

The Travel and Tourism Research Association is calling all researchers, educators, and users of travel and tourism research for the 2020 Annual International Conference, to be held in Victoria, BC.

This year's conference celebrates 50 years of excellence in tourism research and invites participants to contribute to the vision of the tourism research agenda.

From the 17th to the 23rd October 2020, the 16th edition of World Leisure Congress will be celebrated in Pinggu-Beijing.

For over 20 years, the BC Tourism Industry Conference has been providing a forum for tourism businesses and stakeholders from around British Columbia to come together to learn from experts and each other about the key issues, challenges and best practices in the industry.

As part of her Indigenous Tourism course last year, Chyanne Trenholm made the decision to create a video on the opportunities and roles available in tourism for Indigenous youth. Trenholm is an Indigenous 4th-year student from Homalco First Nation in Campbell River, BC, studying Tourism Management at Vancouver Island University in Nanaimo.

IITC 2019 is hosted on the traditional territory of the Syilx Nation, in partnership with the Nlakápamux and Secwépemc Nations, Tourism Kelowna, Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association, and Indigenous Tourism BC.

Sharing research from Ghana in Canada!

WLCE is pleased to share that undergrad students Jocelyne Fournier, Annie Boersen, Georgia Brennan and Megan Fortune - who participated in the 2019 VIU Ghana Research and Study Tour - will be presenting posters at TTRA Conference. Their research focuses on the tourism product evaluation done in Atsiekpoe and the Visitors’ Satisfaction evaluation done at the Wechiau Hippo Sanctuary. 

The 16th World Leisure Congress will be held in Pinggu, Beijing, from the 17th. to 23rd. October 2020 hosted by the Beijing City Government and co-organized by World Leisure Organization (WLO), Beijing Municipal Commission of Tourism and the Pinggu District Government.

The Congress, themed “Leisure Makes Life Better", aims to promote the concept of leisure for all and throughout the whole year. Located in Jinhaihu Town, the main venue consists of the convention and exhibition center, supporting facilities, and a zone for outdoor activities, among other facilities.
