Founded at Vancouver Island University in 2015, this annual event has flourished into the largest gathering of MBA students in British Columbia with over 125 participants. Inspired by the revered Queen's Cup tradition initiated by Queen's University in 1988, the BC MBA Games proudly carry on the legacy of excellence and camaraderie.

Format of the Games
MBA Schools compete for the BC MBA Games Cup by exhibiting excellence in three categories i.e., Academic, Athletic, and Community-focused challenges.
While the specific format of the games may vary slightly each year, the fundamental elements remain consistent. The competition comprises of components designed to assess the mental acuity, physical prowess, and strategic thinking abilities of participating students.
The fundamental elements of the games are named Spirit, Sports, and Case (Academics).
Spirit
The Spirit competition encompasses multiple parts, such as Fundraising for the community, Mystery events, Group Yoga, and The Amazing Race as seen in previous years. While the events can change every year, they are aimed at exemplifying the primary values and principles of the MBA games and fostering teamwork, excitement, and camaraderie throughout the entire event.
Sports
The Sports competition typically entails various athletic events conducted over a span of two days. The selection of sports events is typically determined by the host school.
Last year, UBC hosted Dodge Ball, Table Tennis, and Frisbee were a part of the sports competition.
Case Competition - Take Home:
The Take-Home Case competition revolves around business scenarios in which teams are provided with one week to strategize and develop their recommendations for an event. The focus lies in developing a winning marketing strategy that attracts clients and enhances the visibility of the given case.
Case Competition - Live:
The live case competition shares similarities with the take-home case competition, but with a compressed preparation time of only 24 hours. Teams are presented with a comprehensive case and must formulate a cohesive strategy to address the provided questions within the given time frame
