The World Leisure Organization is offering a series of online forums on leisure and recreation for interested young people around the world, with invited leading scholars and professionals around the world.

CREATOUR International is an informal network to further knowledge exchange and capacity-building among creative tourism researchers and small-scale practitioners internationally. It aims to build closer research–practice relations through providing a platform for sharing experiences, practice-based knowledge, and insights from research; discussing issues and solutions; and learning from one another to inform the growing field of creative tourism internationally.

Dean's Lunch and Awards

The Department of Recreation and Tourism Management will be hosting its annual Dean's Lunch this year on March 24th from 11:30 - 1 pm in the Royal Arbutus Room. Please make sure to save the date. All Recreation and Tourism students are welcome!

As part of the lunch, there will be a number of awards given out to recognize and celebrate student contributions and achievements over the last year.

New partnership will allow VIU students to take outdoor experiential learning beyond the boundaries of British Columbia

A new partnership will allow Canadian and Norwegian university students to benefit from interdisciplinary nature-based recreation and outdoor wellness education programs offered in both countries.
