The Master of Arts in Sustainable Leisure Management, in conjunction with our World Leisure Centre of
Excellence is pleased to introduce Xinyi (Ivy) Lu, Graduate Student in progress, who will be presenting
her research and thesis.

This qualitative study explored the physically active experience of Chinese students studying
in Canada. The research focused on the factors facilitating participation in physical activities. In order

Visiting Scholars 2019 - 2020

WLCE Visiting Scholar Program is designed to bring local and international leaders to VIU to engage with students, faculty, and the Vancouver Island region. The purpose of this engagement is to enrich the student experience, to share research and professional experiences, and to explore possibilities for future collaborations.

New learning partnership agreement between VIU and Tourism Vancouver Island

On Wednesday, September 25th, representatives from each organization came together in front of approximately 50 VIU undergraduate and graduate students, as well as faculty and staff of the Faculty of Management, Department of Recreation and Tourism, to sign a formal learning partnership agreement.
