The WLCE is pleased to announce our new Research Assistants for the 2016-2017 year including Lan Tran and Di Shan(Shandi).
Lan Tran
Lan Tran is a research assistant for the World Leisure Center of Excellence. In this role, she is supporting the Center by hosting a series of public speaking events, a reading circle and film nights.
Lan is a student in the Master of Arts in Sustainable Leisure Management program at VIU. She is a proud global citizen who has lived, worked, studied in and travelled to many different countries. Lan is passionate about sustainable transportation, particularly leisure mobility, as well as fascinated by her own generation- the millennials.

Di Shan (Shandi)
Shandi is a development assistant for the World Leisure Center of Excellent. In this position, she is responsible to promote the work of the Centre on the WLC blog and social media accounts in order to share the events of the center with the international community. Meanwhile, she needs to develop an annual report on the activity of the Centre.
Shandi had numerous life experiences from her travels and woek which provides her with a wider angle to understand this world. Her research interest include sustainable tourism, social entrepreneurship, and retirement. She hopes her research will contribute to the future society.
