The Academic Paper Co-Chairs, Drs. Daniel R. Fesenmaier and Pauline J. Sheldon, invite academic submissions for the 47th Annual International Conference of the Travel and Tourism Research Association (ttra).
The central theme of this year’s conference is “Leading Tourism Research Innovation for Today and Tomorrow.” Many factors including technology and communications, big data, and tourism analytics have reshaped the nature of tourism research including what questions we ask and how we ask them. Simultaneously, environmental and socio-cultural factors are causing us to re-think the future of tourism and tourism research. As such, both conceptual and methodological papers are strongly encouraged where conference presentations focus on the future of tourism research and its implications for tourism practitioners and academics, whether presented orally or visually.
Once again, the Conference will feature practitioner, academic and blended sessions as well as the popular “Passport to Research” visual paper sessions chaired by Drs. Kelly MacKay and Frederic Dimanche, which allow for more in-depth discussions with authors.
As Co-Chairs of the 6th Annual Graduate Student Research Workshop Drs. Iis Tussyadiah and Phil Xiang invite submissions for the Workshop, which will held on June 14 in conjunction with the 2016 Travel and Tourism Research Association International Conference.
