The World Leisure Organization (WLO) is opening the call for the editor-in-chief for the period 2022-2024. As the official journal of the World Leisure Organisation (WLO), the purpose of the World Leisure Journal is to stimulate and communicate research, theory, and critical thought in regard to all forms of leisure. These include social activity, play, recreation, the arts and culture, sport, festivals, events and celebrations, health and fitness, and travel and tourism. In the journal these areas are conceptualized as leisure phenomena and examined in the context of the growing body of international leisure-related theory and scholarship. Empirical and theoretical manuscripts, as well as position papers, review articles, and critical essays are published in the World Leisure Journal.
The WLJ’s Editor-in-Chief
The World Leisure Journal (WLJ) Editor-in-Chief is responsible for providing oversight to the journal. The Editor-in-Chief requires maintaining high standards and ensuring the timely and judicious soliciting and management of manuscripts reflecting the variance of leisure themes, interest and forms of scholarship from throughout the world.
